Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our apartment is corner, sunny and airy. It is on the 1st floor, has 4 balconies and a large fenced yard. From its balconies you have a view of both the mountain Olympos and the sea. It has an electric stove, fridge-freezer, air conditioning inverter, washing machine, mini dishwasher, screens on the balcony doors, awnings, ADT alarm. 2 Philips TVs, satellite channels, netflix, dvd, wi-fi, hi-fi audio. It has two bedrooms (one with a 1,60X2,00m bed, one with two KKsingle beds 1,00X2,00m) and a sofa bed (1,00X2,00m) in the living room. Public parking is opposite the building. Restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, the public market and all the shops of are 5-8 minutes away on foot and just a few minutes by car. Litochoro is about 1 hour away from Thessaloniki airport and about 4.30 hours from Athens airport by car. It is a picturesque small town at the foot of the mountain of the ancient Greek gods, Olympus. From Litochoro start the paths that lead to the highest peak of Olympus, Mytikas, where it was believed to be the throne of the king of the ancient Greek gods, Zeus. It welcomes many tourists at all times of the year. People from all over the world come every year either to climb the mythical mountain of Olympus, or simply to walk along the verdant paths of the ancient gods, or to have a vacation in a place that so harmoniously combines the mountain and the sea. Because Litochoro also has a view of the sea, from which it is 7-8 kilometers away. The beaches of the area are 45 kilometers long and in the summer gather a lot of people from all over the world. You can reach Litochoro by your own car, by bus (via Thessaloniki or Larissa or Athens) or by train (the train station is about 7 kilometers away, so you will have to call a taxi to take you to Litochoro).

3)Αncient Dion and its Museum (10km). Ancient Dion is in the shadow of Olympus. Covering an area of 1,500 acres, the archaeological site of Dion consists of a 360-acre fortified city surrounded by places of worship that was inhabited continuously from the classical to early Christian times. Apart from being a sacred place of worship, Dion developed into a great city, flourished, shone and over the centuries declined and was erased from the map.At Dion, successive excavation layers have revealed private residences, public buildings, shops and many workshops within blocks defined by streets. Built in the 2nd century BC. on level ground, the city of Dion was located at a distance of about 1.5 km from the sea and was connected to it through the then navigable river Vaphyra. The most beautiful archaeological park in Greece operates in Dion, a wonderfully designed archaeological site with ancient sanctuaries, Hellenistic and Roman theaters, ancient cobbled streets, thermal baths with pools and mosaics, conservatory, Roman houses, mansions and early Christian basilicas, a model space.
3) Ancient Pella and its Museum (92km). Pella, a small town on the shores of the Thermaic Gulf, became the capital of the Macedonian state at the end of the 5th century. e.g. and developed into the most important political, economic and cultural center of all of Greece. The city was organized and expanded during the years of Philip II and Cassander, while Philip II's son, Alexander the Great, was also born here. Αt the end of the classical era, Pella was now a large city with a regular layout, with large central streets and vertical streets. The findings of the excavations reveal the wealth and prosperity of the city.
4) Royal Vergina tombs and Museum (80km) .The royal tombs of Vergina (ancient Aiges) take every visitor to the center of the famous Kingdom of Macedonia, which dominated Greece and beyond, in the 4th century BC. The Macedonian king Philip II lived and died here from 382-336 BC. and here his son, Alexander the Great, was crowned king shortly before he began building his legendary empire.The royal tombs, which were only discovered in 1970 and are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is not just an archaeological wonder, but one of the greatest burial sites in the world - along with Mycenae, Troy and the Valley of the Kings in Egypt - because, like them, the most important tombs (including Philip II's) were discovered untouched and intact.
